GFX의 네 번째 개인전 [Realation] (Realize + Relation) 이 9월 19일부터 10월3일까지 에브리데이 몬데이 갤러리에서 열린다. 그는 국내 아트토이 팀 ‘쿨레인 스튜디오’와 힙합레이블 ‘아메바 컬쳐’의 아트디렉터이며, 여러 브랜드의 디자인과 콜라보레이션을 활발하게 진행해 오고 있는 그래픽 아티스트이다. 또한 지난 세번의 개인전을 통하여 수년 동안 묵묵히 구축해온 자신만의 작업스타일과 깊은 내면의 세계까지도 여실히 보여주었다.

그는 만화와 힙합, 스트릿 문화에 많은 영향을 받았으며, 주제나 표현 방식이 어느 하나에만 얽매이지 않고 자유롭다. 또한, 전시문화에 있어서도 그는 항상 전시장의 문턱을 낮추고 대중과 친숙하고 가까이 다가가기 위해 새로운 시도를 해왔다. 미국의 ‘언더그라운드 시각예술운동’ 이 주류 문화와 비주류 문화, 순수미술과 대중미술 사이에서의 생겨 났던 것처럼 GFX가 그러한 새로운 움직임에 앞장서서 힘차게 영역을 넚히고 있다.

그가 지금까지 많이 해왔던 작업 형식인 여러 브랜드, 그리고 다른 아티스트와의 콜라보레이션을 통하여 자신을 둘러 싸고 있는, 또 자신이 만들어 가고 있는 브랜드는 ‘관계’를 보여주고자 한다. 그는 작업 속에서 역동적으로 움직이는 손, 내면을 응시하는 눈, 영원을 나타내는 다이어몬드와 같은 상징적인 요소을 재치 있고 능수능란하게 가지고 논다. 여기에 다른 무언가가 다가와 관계가 맺어지는 순간 그것은 다시 헤아릴 수 없이 갖가지 모습으로 변형된다. 그것은 마치 주변 환경이나 담기는 것에 따라 변화무쌍한 물과 같다. 유연하게 스며들어 섞임과 동시에 그 관계를 통하여 명확하게 존재한다.

GFX's fourth solo exhibition [Realize _ Relation] will be held from Sept. 19 to Oct. 3 at the Everyday Mooonday Gallery. He is an art director for the local ArtToy team "Cullain Studios" and hip-hop label "Ameva Culture," and has designed and collocated several brands. He is a graphic artist who has been actively working on it. And through the last three individual exhibitions, I've been working on my own style of work that I've been building for years. Even the deep inner world was clearly shown.

He has been greatly influenced by cartoons, hip-hop and strit culture, and his subject matter or style of expression is not tied to either. Also, in wartime culture, Even so, he has always made new attempts to lower the threshold of the exhibition hall and become familiar and close to the public. U.S. Underground Visual Arts Movement GFX took the lead in such a new movement and actively took over the territory, just as it arose between mainstream culture and non-mainstream culture, pure art and pop art. to exist 

He's got a lot of work that he's done so far, a lot of different brands, a lot of collaboration with other artists, around him, around him. The brand on the way wants to show 'relationship'. He's got a dynamic hand in his work, eyes staring at the inside, and a diamond representing eternity. He plays with the iconic Yolkur with wit and skill. And the moment something else comes up and engages, it's immeasurable again. It transforms into shape. It is like variable water according to its surroundings or its contents. It's a flexible, intermixing relationship that makes it clear. It exists.
